Arriving in Paros

From Parikia ferry port

Ferries from Athens and other Greek islands normally
arrive at the main port of Parikia.

From Parikia, continue to Pounta port by public bus,
taxi or rental vehicle. The bus station is located near
the port, but routes and departure times vary during the
year.

From Paros Airport

After arriving at Paros Airport, continue towards Pounta
by taxi, rental vehicle or the available public-transport
connections.

Check the current bus timetable before travelling,
particularly for early-morning, evening or
out-of-season arrivals.

Pounta to Antiparos ferry

The principal ferry route to Antiparos departs from Pounta on
the western side of Paros. The crossing is short and takes
approximately seven minutes.

The ferry can carry foot passengers, cars and motorbikes.
Departures vary according to the date, season, weather and
operating conditions, so always check the latest timetable
before starting your journey.

Direct passenger service from Parikia

A direct passenger service may also operate between Parikia and
Antiparos during parts of the year. This service is normally for
passengers rather than vehicles and has a longer crossing time
than the Pounta route.

Because its operating period and timetable may change, confirm
the current service before relying on this route.

Travelling with a car or motorbike

If you are driving from Parikia, follow the road signs towards
Aliki and Pounta. Vehicles can travel on the local ferry from
Pounta to Antiparos.

During busy travel periods, allow additional time for the drive,
boarding and possible queues at the port.

Before you travel

  • Check the latest ferry and bus timetables on the day of travel.
  • Allow sufficient transfer time between your arrival in Paros
and the local ferry to Antiparos.
  • Reconfirm services if you are travelling very early, late at
night or outside the main summer period.
  • Keep the Argo Rooms contact details available in case your
    arrival time changes.
  • Inform us in advance if you expect to arrive significantly
    later than originally planned.

Getting around Antiparos

Once you arrive, Antiparos Town can be explored on foot. For
beaches and locations farther from the centre, available options
may include local bus services, taxis, rental cars, scooters or
bicycles.

Local services and timetables can vary according to the season,
so confirm the available transport during your stay.
